Alex Koonce

Hey everybody! My name is Alex Koonce and I am a senior in communication media at NC State. Some of my favorite video games are Portal, Mirror’s Edge, Halo, Minecraft and I am a huge Call of Duty Fan. I felt drawn to this issue because of how prevalent it has become in the gaming community and is seen as accepted and I want to do my part in fostering a gaming community that is welcoming and safe.

Ashley Mullins

Hello, my name is Ashley and I’m a graduating senior of North Carolina State University. Currently I'm majoring in communication with a concentration in media. My interest includes sociology and videography which is what encouraged me to major in communication. This passion coupled with my interest in gaming was what drew me to this project. I wanted to understand more about the social implications that online gaming has on the individual.

Madison Neeley

Hi! I'm a senior at North Carolina State University studying in Communications with a concentration in Media. A defunct electrical engineering major, I chose to pursue Media out of my love for writing and journalism. I have participated in gaming for about 4 years playing a variety of games. My favorites include League of Legends, Brawhalla, Call of Duty, and Sea of Thieves. I chose to participate in this project because I myself have experienced harassment during gameplay that, at times, kept me from playing games I really loved. I wanted to reach out a friendly hand to women in gaming and show that no one should stop you from doing something you love!
